Description
Somerton is an acrylic coated woven Polyester/Cotton fabric designed for maximum outdoor durability in uses such as awnings and sunblinds. The fabric is based on high strength, woven 50:50 Polyester/Cotton. The fabric is water resistant, mildew resistant and protects against UV degradation. The coated fabric is stentered for optimum dimensional stability. The stentering permits the fabric to be coated roll-to-roll without annoying fold marks that detract from the new appearance. Ultrasonic trimming overcomes the overlap of face and back coating. Furthermore, the coating has been formulated for high water resistance and the maximum blockout effect of any polycotton awning fabric to ensure maximum sun protection.
Somerton consists of a wide range of striped designs with green backing and a range of plain colours with same colour both sides. The striped designs are based on proven awning colours.
